Jon Osborne

Jon is originally from Island Pond, Lake Elmore’s big brother in the Northeast Kingdom. After graduating from UVM he and his future wife, Kate, spent 10 years in Colorado before returning to Vermont to raise a family. He has worked to protect special places for almost 30 years with the City of Boulder Open Space Department and the Vermont Land Trust. In addition to running the Elmore municipal water system, Jon is deeply involved in all aspects of Osborne Family Maple, a 4,000 tap sugaring operation in Ferdinand.
